If you are simply mailing your data and not taking advantage of the Royal Mail discounts then having your data in a single field works well.

However, to get value from your data as a minimum it should be broken down into Address lines, Postcode and country code.

Breaking an address line down into single field elements can be a simple process especially if the data has commas.

If your data has invisible Carriage returns code CHR(13) or CHR(10) then this can cause major headaches to even the most experienced data processor. Without the right tools many hours can be spent trying to correct data problems. If you are paying for this type of service, then give us a call.
